Jumanji: The Next Level's First Trailer Is Wild And Funny

The first trailer for Jumanji: The Next Level is here. The sequel to 2017's hugely successful Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle reunites Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black in another video game-themed adventure, and it hits theaters in December.

The new movie has a similar plot to the last one, with Johnson, Hart, Gillan, and Black playing the avatars of people pulled into insane adventure game Jumanji. But this time, Johnson and Hart aren't being controlled by kids--they're the avatars of two wise-cracking old folks, played by Danny DeVito and Danny Glover. It looks every bit as wild and funny as the last movie, with lots of humor derived from the fact that De Vito and Johnson are physically about as far from each other as you can get. Jumanji: The Next Level is directed by Jake Kasdan once more, and also stars Awkwafina, Madison Iseman, Colin Hanks, and Nick Jonas. It releases on December 13.

The original 1995 movie Jumanji starred Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, and Bonnie Hunt. In that movie, Williams' character became stuck in a board game as a young boy before being set free (along with other creatures and characters) in the modern day.

Remedy Acquires Alan Wake Rights From Microsoft

Alan Wake developer Remedy has acquired the series' publishing rights from Microsoft. The company announced the news in a message to investors, simply stating, "The publishing rights of Alan Wake games are reverted to Remedy."

Alan Wake and its spinoff, American Nightmare, were both published by Microsoft on Xbox 360 but self-published by Remedy on PC. The developer now solely owns the rights, it seems, though it's unclear what this means for the franchise going forward. GameSpot has contacted Remedy to ask what the future holds for the series.

Despite the nine-year gap since Alan Wake's Xbox 360 launch, we do know of one project currently underway: a live-action Alan Wake television adaption is in development. The show is a collaboration between Remedy and movie production company Contradiction Films.

Remedy's next game, meanwhile, is Control, which launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 27. We saw the shooter at E3, and we think it's Remedy's most interesting game since the first Alan Wake.

‘Mimi-san Kaido’ Stars A Dog & A Cat In Cooperative Construction

Roadwork isn’t easy, but for a cute pair, it might just be doable. In Mimi-san Kaido, players will have to guide both characters to destroy obstacles and pave the roads with only a limited amount of fuel.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. In the case of a dog and a cat, one is good at breaking down obstacles for roads and the other is good at paving those paths. With their powers combined, they create pristine and drive-able roads.

Players have to navigate each level by choosing a direction to tear down all the obstacles first. You’ll move continuously until you hit a wall, so plan ahead or you’ll end up with too little fuel to do the second half of the puzzle. Paving all the marked roads successfully lets you advance to the next of over 40 levels.

For the players who are seeking a deeper challenge, the game offers two sets of difficulty: one for beginners and one for roadwork experts. Can you clear them all?
