Borderlands 3's New Show Me The Eridum Event Gets You Ready For A Raid Boss Fight

Cash is an abundant resource in Borderlands 3, but the rare mineral of Eridium unlocks more doors across a very hostile galaxy in Gearbox's loot-shooter adventure. For players looking to stockpile Eridium ahead of the Director's Cut add-on for Borderlands 3, the new time-limited Show Me the Eridium event will give you the chance to grab plenty of the purple resource from April 1-8.

Once a small update has been installed, standard enemies will drop Eridium, there'll be increased Eridium drops in Mayhem Mode, and the cost to use Moxxi's Vault Line slot machine that occasionally rewards players with the resource will be reduced. Crazy Earl will also offer a discount on all the gear that he usually charges a high price for.

Returning players will want to grab as much of the element as possible before the Director's Cut goes live this month, as one of the key features of this expansion is the first raid boss fight in Borderlands 3. The gigantic Varkid known as Hemovorous the Invincible can be summoned provided that you're willing to pay the toll, which just so happens to be 500 Eridium for this endgame challenge.

Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne HD Remaster's New Trailer Shows Off The Game In Action

Confirmed last summer, the remaster of PlayStation 2 cult classic Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne has a new trailer to show off its latest HD assets. Set in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo that has become the battleground for Lucifer's army of demons and the god-like species known as the Reasons, both factions are in conflict over the rights to claim what's left of humanity.

The only thing standing in the way of these supernatural forces is a nameless and silent protagonist who has been gifted with the power of a Demi-fiend and must decide whether he'll be humanity's savior or downfall.

The core turn-based combat gameplay remains intact in Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster, but the game has received several other visual and quality-of-life upgrades such as updated 3D models, backgrounds, and additional difficulty settings. An alternate story branch, voice acting in both English and Japanese, and a suspend save option are also some of the other new additions.

Why Halo: The Master Chief Collection's Custom Game Browser Is Taking So Long

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is getting a Custom Game Browser--which is exactly what it sounds like--but the feature is taking longer than expected to release. The feature, which will allow you to search for custom games, was dropped from a recent beta test, and now one of the game's developers has explained part of the reason why the feature isn't coming out just yet.

Community director Brian Jarrard said on Twitter that the Custom Game Browser "snowballed" into a "crazy huge, complicated feature." As such, it's taking more time than previously thought to get to a state where it's ready for everyone to use.

"It's really just snowballed into a crazy huge, complicated feature--way more robust than I ever imagined. I'm eager as well but definitely support the team taking the time needed to make sure v1 is a solid experience," Jarrard said on Twitter.
