Wage Fleet Warfare On Open Waters In Futuristic Naval RTS Ardent Seas

The RTS has waged war in all manner of battlefields, from conflicts throughout history to the void of space, but the upcoming Ardent Seas places its battles instead on the rough surface of an alien ocean, pitting destroyers and the rest of your fleets against an extraterrestrial threat.

Upon these oceans, you construct fleets of massive supercarriers, Ravager vessels bristling with drone missile batteries and liquid metal cannons, nimble gunships, and other ships in your quest against the alien enemy. On islands that dot the waters, bases can be placed and reinforced, gathering necessary resources to keep your fleet outfitted with fuel and ammo. That same applies to your opponents, both in single player or online battles, letting you attack supply lines as a useful strategy to disrupt enemy fleets.

Battles in Ardent Seas are ones of careful positioning and fleet cohesion, using hit-and-run strikes to shred armor, unleashing lightning weapons upon incoming drone swarms, and supporting your forces at sea with aerial units and base weapons like powerful railguns.

Ardent Seas is still in the midst of development and doesn't have a release date at the moment. For more gameplay details, screenshots, and footage, you can follow the game through its site, and on Twitter or Facebook.
