Free And Cheap PC Games At GOG's Big Summer Sale

Anyone who wants to save money on PC games is in luck because GOG has kicked off a massive summer sale, with over 1,000 games available for up to 90 percent off. They're even throwing some free PC games into the mix, some of which are only available for a limited time. The sale runs between now and June 18 and, as always with GOG, the games are DRM-free.

If you go to the page between now and June 6, you can get a free copy of the strategy game Xenonauts with no strings attached. GOG's press release suggests more freebies will be on offer as the sale continues.

Two other games are easy to get for free. If you spend $5 on games during the summer sale, you'll get a free copy of Sunless Sea, a roguelike survival game set in a watery, apocalyptic version of London. Spend $20, and you'll unlock Rime, a game of puzzle-solving and exploration that takes place on a mysterious island.

Once you start looking around the sale page, you'll find plenty of discounted games to help you unlock those freebies. Lots of CRPGs are on sale, including newer ones like Divinity: Original Sin 2 ($36) and Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire ($45). The Fallout series is on sale, with Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition and Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition both available for $10.

We have more picks below, or you can see the full list of games on sale here. And if you want even more suggestions, check out this list compiled by GameSpot's editorial team.
