Talim Is In SoulCalibur 6, After Being Absent From The Franchise For A Decade

Bandai Namco released a new SoulCalibur 6 character reveal trailer for Talim. The Last Priestess of the Winds has been absent from the fighting game franchise for a decade, last appearing in 2008's SoulCalibur 4. The trailer reveals that Talim maintains her fast fighting style from previous games and still backtalks to her opponents with the same child-like innocence.

Only 15 years old, Talim is one of SoulCalibur's youngest fighters. She's a Filipina priestess who can control the wind, an ability she uses to combat evil. Though both selfless and innocent, Talim is far from helpless. Armed with two tonja-like weapons, called Elbow Blades, Talim is a whirlwind on the battlefield.

Talim's fighting style has remained consistent throughout SoulCalibur, and she's one of the earliest characters in the franchise to rely solely on speed to secure victory. Despite the fluidity and quickness of her moves, Talim remains one of the hardest SoulCalibur fighters to master. Talim's attacks lack power, so players need to rely on her assortment of grapples and stuns to win a round. Getting the timing down takes a bit of practice but, as seen in Talim's SoulCalibur 6 reveal trailer, doing so opens up the door to some truly devastating combos.

Talim isn't the only surprise character you'll be able to play as in SoulCalibur 6. During E3 2018, it was announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Geralt would be included as this game's guest character. Geralt is a precision fighter who relies on calculated attacks to inflict the most damage.

SoulCalibur 6 will launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on October 19.
