Like The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 Is Being Distributed In North America By Warner Bros.

Cyberpunk 2077 may still be a ways off from release, but now we know who is distributing the game. Developer CD Projekt Red announced it is once again partnering with Warner Bros. Interactive, the same company that helped release its highly acclaimed RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, to distribute Cyberpunk 2077 in North America.

"We've worked with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and both releases turned out to be really successful, so we're entering this new stage of our cooperation with great confidence," said CD Projekt Red SVP of business development MichaƂ Nowakowski.

It's still unclear which company will distribute Cyberpunk 2077 in other regions. CD Projekt Red previously partnered with Bandai Namco to release The Witcher 3 in Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe, but the company hasn't yet announced if it'll renew this partnership for its upcoming title.

Likewise, CD Projekt Red still hasn't announced a release date for Cyberpunk 2077, but the studio confirmed the game is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. While we may not yet know when Cyberpunk 2077 will launch, a number of retailers have already begun taking pre-orders for it. You can read more in our Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order guide.

Cyberpunk 2077 places players in the role of V, a mercenary who can be augmented with all manner of cybernetic enhancements. The game is set in the futuristic dystopian metropolis Night City, and unlike the Witcher titles, it is played in first-person--although that isn't meant for VR. CD Projekt Red gave fans their first look at the game back in August when it shared nearly an hour of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay.
