Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer Shows Lots Of Ways To Be A Crook

Rockstar released the latest trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 this morning, and as promised, it detailed a lot more of the variety activities you can take on while you explore the Old West. The narration notes that Arthur can take on "a wide array of nefarious activities with his gang members."

As seen in the trailer, you can plan a large-scale heist, rob a train, a coach, or even just an individual on a walk. You can also hold up a store, burgle a house, or go into loansharking. At one point we get a glimpse of how the gang element may work as Arthur pursues enemies through a house and then has an apparent ally enter through another other door to help.

You can also explore the countryside, which is said to be controlled by several different gangs. And when you commit crimes, lawmen will be on your tail. Eventually you might attract the attention of bounty hunters who will aim to track you down and collect the price on your head.

If you're only slightly evil and prefer to only inflict the townsfolk with minor inconveniences, you can just refuse to take a bath. The trailer implies this will imbue you with a powerful stink that will offend the sensibilities of the people you meet.

We recently had hands-on with Red Dead Redemption 2, and discussed it in-depth in our preview video. Rockstar is still slowly outlining more details, like the hunting and fishing mechanics. RDR2 will launch as a single-player only game, and then the Red Dead Online will come as a beta roughly a month later. The game launches October 26 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
