We're in the endgame now. Avengers: Endgame is less than a month away, and Marvel has kicked off ticket sales with a new trailer that's packed with new footage. With the opening of ticket sales has come confirmation of the film's runtime, and as rumored it will be the longest Marvel film to date.
Several theater chains list the runtime at 3 hours and 2 minutes. That makes it a good bit longer than the previously longest Marvel movie to date, Avengers: Infinity War, which came in at 2 hours and 36 minutes. Infinity War and Endgame are essentially a two-part story resolving the Thanos arc that has been teased throughout the MCU, so it makes sense that these two would be the biggest in the series. In other words, if you're currently purchasing tickets, find the theater with the comfiest seats.
The new teaser shows the handful of remaining heroes, including the new addition of Captain Marvel, assembling to confront Thanos. It also notably shows Captain America and Iron Man reconciling, which has been a looming rift since the events of Captain America: Civil War.
Avengers: Endgame will release on April 26, 2019, with some advance screenings set for April 25. Some theaters are even letting Marvel fans marathon through hours of MCU world-building with marathons of select or all of the movies to date.
