With TGS 2019 just days away, expect a lot more Japanese games news for iOS and Android with many publishers set to showcase multiple mobile games at the event later this week. Today, CAVE has announced 64-bit updates for four classic iOS shoot ’em ups. DEATHSMILES ($9.99), DODONPACHI MAXIMUM ($11.99), DoDonPachi Resurrection HD ($13.99), and DoDonPachi Blissful Death ($4.99) will be updated for iOS 11 compatibility soon. These will be free updates to those who already own the four titles on iOS. Check out the trailer for DEATHSMILES below:
It is worth noting that if you don’t own any of the games being updated, CAVE plans on having a commemorative sale for the games in the future. This will be a good time to pickup the classics once they are updated for modern iOS devices. As of now, there has been no mention of how iPhone X and iPad Pro screen sizes will be taken into account and there has also been no mention of controller support. I’m glad I can stop worrying about potential Xbox One Backward Compatibility releases from CAVE with them beginning to update the iOS games. Hopefully these do well in the sale so they consider updating more and bringing more releases to iOS. If you haven’t played any of these yet, check out our reviews of all the games.
