‘Column on the Sea’ Offers Smooth, Cute Animations Along With its Challenging Platforming

A legendary treasure awaits those who are willing to climb to the summit of a dangerous island. And you’ll look pretty good going to get it, too.

You will face off against many enemies as you climb higher and higher. Use your quick reflexes to slash and shoot away these baddies and claim your treasure in Column on the Sea!

Players will be in control of Laika, a treasure hunter in search of the most valuable plunder of all. Guiding Laika, Erdhardt (her somewhat-intense boss) tries to keep her from getting into too much danger. The exchanges between these characters are sure to give you a tickle of laughter while you scale the island’s gigantic caverns.

Column of the Sea sports some seriously attractive pixel animations . It’s hard not to want to bust out every attack to appreciate the smoothness of each action. It certainly makes battling feel like an art form.

You’ll want to hone your skills, too, because you won’t be put up against brainless enemies the whole way up – you’ll have to prove yourself against some gigantic bosses. Luckily, with 15 different abilities to throw at them, you’re well equipped to make it to the top. Many abilities are hidden well, though, so players who feel the need to explore every inch of the map may find many handy tools to make their lives easier.

Column of the Sea is available now on Steam.
