Nintendo Switch Deals Black Friday 2019: Bundles, Switch Lite, Controllers, And More

The best Black Friday sales for new and prospective Switch owners

The Nintendo Switch is still a ridiculously hot commodity going into Black Friday 2019. Nintendo has kept the console's momentum going strong with great first-party games like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Astral Chain, and Pokemon: Sword and Shield, as well as the new Switch Lite (the regular Switch also got a new model with improved battery life). That momentum is going to make big deals on Nintendo Switch consoles difficult over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but you can still find deals on Switch consoles, games, and accessories this holiday season.

As we head into the Black Friday frenzy, we're noticing Switch games and first-party controllers will be on sale for great prices that we wouldn't normally expect on Black Friday. But while we have a few console deals, they aren't proving to be terribly exciting so far. Hopefully, that will change in the coming days as more retailers drop their major Black Friday deals. If nothing else, though, you can expect to find sales on some of Switch's best games, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Super Mario Odyssey.

For now, check out the best Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals confirmed so far, from first-party games and accessories to familiar console bundles. Expect more to pop up as Black Fridays draws near--Nintendo has confirmed its Switch Eshop sale in Europe, and we're expecting the same to happen for North America soon.

Nintendo Switch bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and $25 gift coupon | $300

Nintendo Switch bundle with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - $300

No, we haven't entered a time machine and gone back to Black Friday 2018. Nintendo is offering the same Nintendo Switch holiday bundle that was available last year. For $300, you can get the Switch and a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. GameStop is also offering a $25 gift coupon with each purchase. The potential snag with this bundle? It's the launch model Switch, which means you won't get the upgraded battery that comes with the newer Switch model released a few months back. That said, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an incredible game that normally sells for about $50. The bundle is also be available at Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. Best Buy will toss in a free screen protector.

Nintendo Switch (new model) with Crash Team Racing and 12-month Nintendo Switch Online family membership | $305

Nintendo Switch CTR + Switch Online bundle -- $305

Google Shopping will have a pretty solid Nintendo Switch bundle during its Black Friday sale. For $305, you'll get the updated Nintendo Switch with better battery life, a copy of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and a 12-month family Nintendo Switch Online membership. Even though Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is certainly better than Crash Team Racing, this bundle beats out the official Nintendo bundle thanks to the updated Switch and Nintendo Switch Online subscription. We'll update with more information on this deal once more details are revealed.

Nintendo Switch Lite | $175

Nintendo Switch Lite -- $175

Google Shopping has the Nintendo Switch Lite on sale for $175 during its Black Friday sale. All three colors (Turquoise, Yellow, and Gray) are being discounted, so make sure to pick your favorite color, too. It's the only Nintendo Switch Lite Black Friday deal we've seen.

The GameStop Switch Lite promotion is similar, as the retailer will give you a $25 gift coupon when purchasing a yellow, gray, or turquoise Switch Lite. This deal is only good on Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1.

Nintendo Switch bundle with carrying case, charging dock, and $90 Kohl's Cash | $320

Nintendo Switch, carrying case, charging dock, and $90 Kohl's Cash - $320

One could argue this Switch bundle at Kohl's is better than the official Nintendo offer. The $320 bundle will include the updated Switch with better battery life, a carrying case ($20 value), and the PowerA Joy-Con Charging Dock ($25 value). While that may not sound amazing, you'll also get $90 in Kohl's Cash with your purchase. It's definitely a deal to consider, especially if you plan on doing some other holiday shopping at Kohl's.

Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons (Gray or Neon Red/Blue) | $53.60

Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons - $53.60

Nintendo's pricey Joy-Con controllers will be down to $60 on Black Friday at Best Buy and Target, which is a nice savings of $13. We assumed Amazon would price Joy-Cons at $60 as well, but Amazon announced it would have Joy-Cons for 33% off, dropping the price even further to $53.60 from November 22 to November 29. It's unclear which Joy-Cons will be eligible for this awesome deal, but Best Buy and Target are only offering the original gray or neon red and blue Joy-Cons.

Poke Ball Plus | $20

Poke Ball Plus Nintendo Switch Accessory - $20

The Poke Ball Plus can be used as a controller in 2018's Pokemon: Let's Go, but it can also be used to "hold" one of your Pokemon pals in Pokemon Sword and Shield and take them with you on the go (presumably to earn experience points or special items). It also gets you Mew, a mythical Pokemon that can be transferred into Pokemon: Let's Go. Normally $50, the Poke Ball Plus will be heavily discounted to $20 at most major retailers during Black Friday. So if you're looking for a complementary gift to go with Sword and Shield, the Poke Ball Plus could be a solid option, and the price is right. You'll be able to find it at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.

Nintendo Switch Online 12-month subscription | $15

Nintendo Switch Online 12-month subscription card - $15

A Nintendo Switch Online membership grants you access to online multiplayer, Tetris 99, and a huge library of classic SNES and NES games. Switch Online is also the only way to take advantage of cloud saves. The service is significantly cheaper than Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus already at $20, but Target is offering $5 off on 12-month Switch Online individual memberships this Black Friday.

SanDisk 128 GB microSDXC | $15

SanDisk 128GB microSDXC -- $15

It's quite easy to fill up the Switch's 32GB onboard storage. Most Switch owners will need a microSD card sooner rather than later. GameStop will have 128GB SanDisk microSDXC cards on sale for $15.

Astro A10 Breath of the Wild-themed wired headset | $35

Astro A10 headset -- $35

Astro makes great gaming headsets. The A10, Astro's budget Switch headset, is a solid wired headset that will be available for $35 at GameStop. As an added bonus, it has an alluring Breath of the Wild theme.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild | $30

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - $30

Certainly a contender for greatest game of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild rarely drops lower than $45-$50 these days, and it's still often sold at full price. This Black Friday, all major retailers will have Breath of the Wild for $40, but Target and Walmart are selling it for $30 for a limited time. You can grab Breath of the Wild for $30 at Walmart starting Wednesday, November 27 at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET. It'll also be on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop.

Super Mario Odyssey | $30

Super Mario Odyssey - $30

It's-a me, a good deal-io. I'm terribly sorry for that, but the wonderful Super Mario Odyssey will also be steeply discounted this Black Friday. Like Breath of the Wild, it'll be $40 at all major retailers and $30 at Walmart and Target for a limited time. You can pick it up on Walmart's website the night before Thanksgiving. Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target will also have Super Mario Odyssey discounted.

Mario Tennis Aces | $30

Mario Tennis Aces - $30

I'm not going to mimic my favorite retired plumber for this one. That said, Mario Tennis Aces is a good Mario sports game, and the only one available on Switch at this time. Once again, it'll be $40 at Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy, but just $30 at Target and Walmart.

Splatoon 2 | $30

Splatoon 2 - $30

Though Splatoon 2 is more than two years old, it's still one of the very best multiplayer games on Switch. In addition to its highly entertaining online multiplayer suite, it has a pretty good single-player campaign and a fun cooperative mode. It'll be available at Walmart for $30. You'll also find Splatoon 2 on sale at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle | $15

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle - $15

The zany, XCOM-esque Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is on sale a lot, usually for around $30. But if you haven't pulled the trigger on any of the sale prices thus far, you can pick it up for the ridiculously low price of $15 this Black Friday at Best Buy and Target. It's a charming and hilarious turn-based strategy game starring your favorites from the Mushroom Kingdom and Ubisoft's extremely silly Rabbids. Kingdom Battle will also be discounted at Walmart.

Super Mario Party | $30

Super Mario Part - $30

Every Nintendo console needs at least one Mario Party game to ruin friendships and cause emotional anguish at every unlucky break. Super Mario Party, while not one of the best games in the series, is still a good party game to play with friends and family. It has numerous different game modes and puts some fun spins on the classic board game format. It'll be $40 at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target this Black Friday, but Walmart will have it for $30. Super Mario Party can only be played with one Joy-Con per person, so you may want to take advantage of the aforementioned Joy-Con deal if you pick up this game.

Octopath Traveler | $40

Octopath Traveler - $40

A lovingly-crafted ode to early-90s role-playing games, Octopath Traveler is one of the best turn-based games on Switch. The gorgeous art style features a clever blend of 2D sprites and 3D polygons and the combat is appropriately retro without feeling dated. For lovers of old-school Final Fantasy games, Octopath Traveler is a great buy at $40. You'll be able to find it at that excellent price at Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Amazon.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition | $45

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition for Switch - $45

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt only recently released on Nintendo Switch, but you'll be able to save $15 at Best Buy on Black Friday. Though Geralt's brilliant third adventure doesn't look quite as pretty on Switch, it's still amazing that you can bring this massive action-RPG on the go with you. Since it's the Complete Edition, you'll get all of the stellar DLC, too.

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection | $25

Diablo 3: Eternal Collection for Switch - $25

Diablo 3 just feels right on Nintendo Switch. Like The Witcher 3, Diablo 3 was a late port that came years after other console versions. Still, the game makes full use of the Switch's hybrid console and handheld capabilities, delivering a rousing good action-RPG whether you're playing it on the TV or in handheld mode. I played Diablo 3 on three platforms before picking up the Switch version, but I still managed to play it for 50 hours on Switch. Diablo 3: Eternal Collection will be available for $25 at Walmart this Black Friday.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze | $40

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - $40

The Switch granted new life to Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, one of best Wii U games. A traditional 2D Donkey Kong Country through-and-through, Tropical Freeze excels thanks to superb level design, interesting bosses, and challenging platforming sequences. Tropical Freeze will be discounted to $40 at Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Amazon.
