The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has disrupted industries and supply chains around the world, with anime being the latest to take a hit. The second season of Re:ZERO - Starting Life in Another World was scheduled to premiere in April, but has now been delayed to July 2020, Crunchyroll reports.
While Japan is dealing with its own outbreak of coronavirus, anime production is likely to be further affected by major outbreaks in China and South Korea, where a lot of animation outsourcing studios are located.
A new air date hasn't been announced beyond the target of July, as mentioned on the official website, but the update says the new premiere date will be announced on Twitter when it's been decided.
