Jason Statham and Woody Harrelson might not seem like two actors who have a lot in common, but we'll soon see how one will perform in a role initially offered to the other. Jason Statham recently pulled out of The Man From Toronto, the upcoming action-comedy film from director Patrick Hughes, and according to The Hollywood Reporter veteran actor Woody Harrelson has now stepped in to take the role.
Harrelson will play a professional assassin--the eponymous Man from Toronto--will is involved in a mix-up with a "New York City screw-up" played by Kevin Hart. Statham is said to have left the project over a disagreement regarding the film's age rating--he wanted to make an R-rated film, Sony insisted on making a "four quadrant" movie aimed at a wider audience.
Director Patrick Hughes has previously directed Red Hill, The Expendables 3, and The Hitman's Bodyguard. Shooting on The Man From Toronto is due to begin in mid-April, and a release date is set for November 20.
