Netflix's Trial Of Chicago 7 Is Now Free On YouTube For 48 Hours

To commemorate the anniversary of the real-world Trial of the Chicago 7, Netflix has announced that its feature film about the event is now completely free to watch.

Now through Saturday, February 20 at 11:59 PM PT, users can watch the full movie at no cost from the Netflix US YouTube channel. Writer-director Aaron Sorkin and a number of the stars, including Eddie Redmayne, Joseph Gorden-Levitt, Sacha Baron Cohen, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and others appear in the video below to talk about the significance of the event.

The Trial of Chicago 7 tells the story of the trial of seven men involved in a protest at the 1968 Democratic National Convention who were charged with conspiracy to start a riot. The trial was a momentous occasion, and it reached major milestone on February 18, 1970 when a jury acquitted the seven defendants.
