Adrien Brody Talks About Turning Down The Lord Of The Rings: "I Remember Feeling So Stupid"

Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody has revealed that he had a chance to appear in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings series but turned down the role in a move he now seemingly regrets.

Speaking to GQ, Brody said he was in the mix for a Hobbit-like character, but he was after something else, and he ultimately passed on appearing in the movie. Seeing the film later with a girlfriend, Brody had regrets.

"They were casting The Lord of the Rings. It was some Hobbit-like character, surely ... I was looking for something else. I remember seeing Lord of the Rings in the theater with an ex-girlfriend. She turned to me and she said, 'You passed on The Lord of the Rings!' I remember feeling so stupid," he said.
