A sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is in the works, with director Destin Daniel Cretton set to return. This is according to a report from Deadline, which also confirms that Cretton has reached a multi-year overall deal with Marvel and Hulu's Onyx Collective for more content.
Cretton will write and direct the Shang-Chi sequel. No further details are available yet, but we would expect Simu Liu to return, of course.
As part of the new deal, Cretton will produce new TV content for Marvel to air on Disney+, while his deal with Onyx will bring new content to multiple platforms, including Hulu. This is happening through a new production company that Cretton is setting up called Family Owned.
